No contagion in the classroom
The Corona epidemic has made us all aware of how easily germs spread through the air indoors. In classrooms, large numbers of people come together very closely – ideal conditions for the spread of germs.
Air purifiers can get the harmful germs and allergens out of the air you breathe – if the conditions are right. Floor-standing units are often in the way or in the wrong position in the air flow. Hepa filters must be changed regularly. But it is precisely the changing that is dangerous, because the germs are concentrated in the filter. Frequent replacement is labor-intensive and the filters are also expensive.
The plasma air purifier from oxytec, designed for the ceiling, is located at the ideal position in the air flow: heat rises upwards. The outlet on the side creates a draft-free air circulation. The air does not move from nose to nose, but from the bottom to the top.
The built-in plasma technology sterilizes all contained germs, not only the smallest viruses, but also bacteria, mold spores and pollen – a boon for the allergy sufferers among those present and also for others who are bothered by sneezing.
In this way, the dangerous germs are sustainably removed from the air we breathe. Nevertheless, the device requires very little maintenance. When it really needs attention, it reports itself.
- Infections with airborne germs are avoided.
- Allergy and asthma sufferers find a room climate that spares them from allergic reactions.
- Even the smallest viruses, e.g. corona viruses, are captured.
- The maintenance effort is low.
- The energy costs are negligible.
