Technical features

The magnetic separator is designed to separate magnetic coarse and fine particles from the emulsion in the water-miscible cooling lubricants used in metalworking (rolling, drilling, turning, milling and grinding) with minimum oil discharge. High-performance magnets separate the emulsion from the metallic magnetizable particles in full flow or in bypass. The unit operates without pressure and without chemicals. It also enables a reduction in energy and disposal costs and a reduction in metal sludge by a factor of 50.

Fields of application

  • Purification of emulsions from the cold rolling mill
  • Scale separation from cooling and gas washing waters
  • Cleaning of quenching baths#
  • Cleaning of water from vacuum treatment
  • Cleaning of polishing and grinding emulsions

Function

  • Significantly longer service life of emulsions and waters
  • Heat dissipation
  • Reduction of friction between tool and workpiece
  • Removal of metal particles and abrasion

Use

  • Purification of emulsions from the cold rolling mill
  • Scale separation from cooling and gas washing waters
  • Cleaning of quenching baths#
  • Cleaning of water from vacuum treatment
  • Cleaning of polishing and grinding emulsions

Technology material

  • Magnetic rods are moved into the cladding tubes, which thus have no direct contact with the emulsion
  • The emulsion is then pumped from a storage tank into the chamber with the cladding tubes.
  • In this chamber, the separation and separation of the metallic magnetizable components in the emulsion takes place.

Installation maintenance

  • Movable metal rods with hydraulic drive
  • Flushing nozzles for cleaning the cladding tubes and the chamber bottom
  • Control cabinet with PLC control (Siemens S7) for manual and automatic operation
