Electrostatic

Electrostatic filter as an insert for HVAC systems

Technical features

Electrostatic filters offer numerous advantages, such as low pressure drop, high efficiency in particle removal, and a flexible, modular design. They are suitable for both small and large kitchens and can be easily integrated into existing exhaust systems. The units are energy-efficient and low-maintenance.

Fields of application

Thanks to their modular design, oxytec Electrostat units are suitable for a wide variety of kitchen environments. They can be used in both small and large kitchens with air flow rates of up to 3,000 m³/h. The units can be easily integrated into existing exhaust ducts and are also ideal for retrofitting.

Function

Electrostatic precipitators operate on the principle of electrostatic precipitation. In the ionization section, the particles become electrically charged, while in the collection section they are captured on the collector plates. This process occurs almost instantly and with high efficiency.

Use

Thanks to their modular design, oxytec Electrostat units are suitable for a wide variety of kitchen environments. They can be used in both small and large kitchens with air flow rates of up to 3,000 m³/h. The units can be easily integrated into existing exhaust ducts and are also ideal for retrofitting.

Technology material

The electrostatic precipitators consist of a sturdy aluminum housing and a metal mesh pre-filter on the air inlet side. All high-voltage components are safely encapsulated internally. The module consists of two main sections: ionization and precipitation.

Installation maintenance

The standard dimensions of the electrostatic modules are compatible with common sizes, making installation easy. Thanks to plug-in connections, the modules can be easily removed from the housing for cleaning. The waterproof electronics do not need to be removed for cleaning.

Additional info

The efficiency of the electrostatic filters has been demonstrated by the Institute for Environmental Pollution of the C.N.R. (National Research Council). The devices are tested in accordance with UNI 11254 and certified to EN ISO 16890. They provide highly efficient filtration of particles ranging in size from 0.3 to 0.4 micrometers and significantly reduce bacteria and viruses in the air.
