Longer shelf life in ship cold stores

In the storage areas on ships, foodstuffs come together that are sometimes incompatible with each other. The ethylene emitted by apples, for example, causes other foods to age more quickly.

And there are other organic components in the air that are not good for food: Aromas that don’t go together, mold spores, bacteria, viruses, vapors from materials.

Air disinfection and air purification to protect foodstuffs

Our UV-C devices sterilize the air in the storage rooms and also remove the remaining organic components of the air, such as pollutant vapours or odorous aerosols. The devices work using the air circulation method and do not emit ozone. This means that the composition of the air in the storage room remains the same. Only pollutants and germs disappear almost completely. This massively improves the shelf life of food and preserves its taste and aroma for a long time.
